Costs and Contributions

Turadh is a non-profit social enterprise. We're extending an invitation, not selling a product, and we ask each guest to contribute what they're able to based on their circumstances.

This model works if everyone contributes what they can. Those with more financial means are invited to pay a bit extra so that those with less can still access the same beautiful experience. It's an economy of solidarity.

If you can pay more than the suggested rate, please do—every extra pound helps support someone else to stay. If you can only manage the lower end of the scale, we understand. Everyone gets the same experience regardless of contribution.

This model only works because people are honest and generous — thank you for being both.

Standard Stay £300 £650 £650
Supported Stay £200 £450 £450
Full-Rate Stay £700 £1,600 £1,600

All prices are per week.

Standard Contribution - Our standard rate allows us to offer partially-subsidised stays to anyone working in the third sector or public services in Scotland.

Supported Contribution - This is the contribution we request from those on no or very low income working in community, charity or public services in Scotland.

Full-Rate Contribution - This rate is set in line with similar holiday lets in the Highlands. By making the full-rate contribution, you are covering the costs of your own stay and helping to support a stay for someone with less economic means.

Gift Stays and Residencies -
There are several ways to enjoy a gift stay or a supported residency at Turadh, including our Weary Angels scheme, Volunteer Weeks and Winter Residency programme. Join our mailing list to be kept up to date about new opportunities.

Turadh Bursary Fund - Turadh has a small bursary fund available which allows us to provide additional financial assistance to those who need it most. There is space at the end our application form to provide details and request consideration for this support.

Payment Terms - Once the dates for your booking are agreed, you will have 14 days to make the agreed contribution and pay your damage deposit. For last-minute bookings, the payment time may be reduced. If payment hasn't been received by the agreed date, we'll release the dates back to our waiting list. If you have any concerns about managing this payment schedule please let us know and we will work with you to agree a workable payment schedule.
