A Small Team With Big Hearts
-
Sarah MacLaren
Sarah is one of the co-founders of Turadh. Her family originate from Glen Affric, and her connection to Scotland's landscapes runs deep. A landscape designer by trade, Sarah works on rewilding and environmental education projects across the UK. Equally comfortable with a spade or a spreadsheet, she moves between big-picture visioning and obsessive attention to detail, and somehow keeps the whole Turadh show on the road.

Ros Gomersall
Ros is an artist and lover of everything to do with the sea. Trained as an interior architect, she's been Turadh's linchpin since the start—someone who moves seamlessly between creative vision and practical necessity. She's designed the Glenelg garden, managed fire regulations, and now oversees all bookings, partnerships, residencies, and day-to-day operations in Glenelg. If something needs doing at Turadh, Ros has probably already done it.

Ralph Fenton
Ralph looks after all our guests at Feada Coille, and the guestbook is full of appreciation for his warmth, humour, local knowledge, and exceptional level of care. Originally from Glasgow, Ralph moved to the Highlands in 2018 and worked as a postman—quickly getting to know every home and resident in Wester Ross. When he's not welcoming guests, you'll find him out on the hills with his dogs or tackling the Bealach na Bà on his bike. He has also been spotted commuting from Shieldaig to Glenelg by jet-ski!

Sophie Howarth
Sophie is a writer and artist—you might find a few of her books and artworks on walls and shelves when you stay. She's usually found with her head in a book or obsessively rearranging the house libraries that our guests love so much. Sophie leads on all of Turadh's communications and partnerships, making sure the right people know about us. She has a background in social enterprise and an uncanny ability to know everyone in the charity, community, and activism world.

Anna Craib
Anna looks after both our Glenelg properties with the kind of care that makes every stay feel special. She's lived all her life in beautiful Dornie and works with some of the Highlands' finest five-star accommodation, bringing those exceptional standards to Turadh. The welcome you receive, the thoughtful touches you notice—that's Anna making sure our guests get the very best.
